Plagiarism Screening
MARSALAHA upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and all submitted manuscripts must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure originality and proper attribution:
- Similarity Thresholds:
- Articles must not have a similarity score exceeding 20% when checked against existing sources. This policy ensures that the submitted content is original and does not excessively rely on existing works.
- Manuscripts with a similarity score of below 40% will undergo further review, and the author may be asked to revise their work to ensure more incredible originality.
- Articles with a similarity score exceeding 40% will be rejected right away as they fail to meet the standards of academic integrity and originality.
- Proper Citation and Referencing:
- All sources, ideas, and direct quotations must be appropriately cited using the citation style specified in the journal’s submission guidelines. This requirement applies to both in-text citations and the reference list.
- Failure to properly acknowledge sources constitutes plagiarism, which undermines the credibility and quality of academic work.
- Self-Plagiarism:
- Authors should refrain from submitting previously published work or substantial portions without proper acknowledgment or citation. Self-plagiarism is equally unacceptable and will be treated with the same seriousness as plagiarism from other sources.
- Originality Check:
- Before submission, authors are encouraged to run their manuscripts through plagiarism detection software to ensure that their work complies with the journal’s originality standards.
- The journal reserves the right to use plagiarism detection tools to assess the originality of submitted articles.
We are committed to maintaining the academic quality and integrity of the research published in our journal. By submitting an article, authors agree to abide by these standards and understand that manuscripts that violate plagiarism rules will be subject to rejection or revision as necessary.
